A Concise English-Interlingua Dictionary
New York: Storm Publishers. 84 pages. Scanned PDF 13 mb
Plus: Short Interlingua Grammar and Vocabulary, a 4-page leaflet by the British Interlingua Society, 1978, Interlingua is a naturalistic international auxiliary language developed by the International Auxiliary Language Association (members including linguists Edward Sapir and Otto Jespersen) between 1937 and 1951.
The dictionary contains the 6,800 English lexemes and the Interlingua equivalents.
The basic grammar includes a short vocabulary of Interlingua and its English equivalents.
From the Preface:
Interlingua was first introduced with the publication of the Interlingua-English Dictionary (I.E.D.) and the Interlingua Grammar in 1951. Since that time the growing importance of the language as a tool for international communication has created a need for an English-Interlingua Dictionary. Inasmush as a comprehensive companion volume to the I.E.D. is not yet in prospect, this "little" English-Interlingua dictionary is offered as a practical means of filling the immediate need...
It has been included at the end a short grammar explaining the formation and use of verbs, tense, adverbs, adjectives, pronouns, etc., with a short list of Interlingua lexemes with English equivalents.
