A New Integrated Multidisciplinary Approach and an Application to Electronic Funds Transfer Regulation
The formulation of efficient laws (i.e., legal rule formulation) is a central issue in the study, practice and implementation of laws since efficient laws have profound positive social, economic political and welfare effects. This book has developed a new approach to the formulation of efficient laws with an illustrative application to electronic fund transfer regulation in Australia.

Fragmented approaches to the formulation of laws such as ‘comparative law analysis’ and ‘welfare economic analysis of laws’ exist in the existing literature which are affected by laws is necessary in formulating efficient (socially desirable) laws. In this book, an integrated approach that embeds these 2 approaches as well as other considerations of other dimensions of human welfare is developed. This approach can be applied to formulate efficient laws, irrespective of social, political and economic organisations of the country under study, which maximise social welfare of the country.

Language Use and Language Learning in CLIL Classrooms

By Dr. Christiane Dalton-Puffer, Tarja Nikula, Prof. Dr. Ute Smit
Publisher :John Benjamins
ISBN:902720523X December 15, 2010
PDF | 305 pages | 5.4 mb

This volume explores a highly topical issue in second and foreign language education: the spreading practice in mainstream education to teach content subjects through a foreign language. CLIL has been enthusiastically embraced as a language enrichment measure in many contexts and finally research can offer principled insights into its dynamics and potentials.

The editors’ introductory and concluding chapters offer a synthesis of current CLIL research as well as a critical discussion of unresolved issues relating both to theoretical concerns and research practice. The individual contributions by authors from a range of European contexts report on current empirical research in this dynamic field.

The focus of these chapters ranges from theoretical to empirical, from learning outcomes to classroom talk, examining both the written and spoken mode across secondary and tertiary educational contexts. This volume is a valuable resource not only for researchers and teachers but also for policy makers.
